Everyone knows that sleeping better is one of the hardest things to do. With so many distractions available, it just seems wasteful for many to hit the sack when they can still stay up and do stuff. But as good sleep can lead to better health, it’s a must for many to turn their sleeping habits around.
If you’ve been trying to improve your zzz’s for quite a while now and still haven’t seen good results, there might be two things you’re missing: consistency and determination.
Consistency is key to establish a sleep schedule as your internal body clock works on a schedule as well. You can’t just expect to start getting sleepy at 10 pm if you don’t condition yourself to settle down and unwind before the said time for days or even weeks in advance. Your body needs patterns to function on a pattern, so you have to be consistent while trying to achieve your goals.
To achieve consistency, you also have to be determined. If you’re not, you’ll feel like it’s okay to go to bed at different times in the evening. You also won’t care much if you don’t actually set a sleeping schedule which is important if you really want to sleep better.
So if you really want to sleep better in 2019, we suggest you come to terms with the state of mind you have to be in when achieving this goal. Sleeping better can be easy or complicated – it all depends on how you want to go about it for the most part. Just don’t forget to not stress it out, though, as stress is always one of the worst things for your zzz’s.
